John McDougall
President, Internet Marketing Strategy
John McDougall has worked in advertising and the creative fields since 1992. With a background in music and the arts, John enjoys the blending of art and advertising. Originally a media planner at McDougall Advertising, he was asked to head the Interactive Division of McDougall Advertising during the dot com boom. Having provided internet services full time since 1995, John was among the first group of people implementing search engine optimization. With local speaking engagements, successful websites and a publication on search engine marketing currently in the works, John is committed to the internet revolution.
John McDougall is also a board member of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce, as his father was through the 1980's and 1990's. Dan McDougall, who sold McDougall Advertising – which at the time was the sixth largest agency in New England - to Bozell Kampstra, (now owned by IPG) is a constant help to John as he grows his business and builds brands online.
John donates time, money and services to organizations such as the Starhouse of Beverly, MA (Board of Directors and Marketing Committee), Christian Foundation for Children / Aging and others.
He enjoys playing guitar, collecting and selling fine art, offshore tuna fishing, snowboarding and international travel.

James Hall
Chief Technology Officer
James's professional experience spans multiple facets of online technologies across various industries and business segments, and he brings his expertise in technical architecture, delivery management and Online Marketing to the table in his role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of McDougall Interactive.
Past leadership roles at Expedia, Hotels.com and Dell allows James to apply Fortune 500 solutions for McDougall Interactive’s clients. Team participation includes working with: 5th largest Google PPC client, 20th most visited group of websites in the world and successful execution of global SEO / SEM initiatives.
With more than 13 years delivering Internet solutions within Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and E-Commerce, James is uniquely qualified to bring online solutions from concept to value.

John Maher
Director of Interactive Marketing Services, Analytics & Reporting
John has extensive computer experience and a background in business and radio advertising. He got his Search Engine Optimization training from nationally-recognized internet marketer Bruce Clay, and has been working in the Internet Marketing industry since 2005. John stays up-to-date on his SEO skills with regular attendance at Search Engine Strategies and SEOMoz Pro Seminars, and has spoken on SEO at Salem State College and the North Shore Business Forum. At McDougall Interactive, John acts as the lead strategy and technical executive for all search accounts. In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his wife and four young children, and is also an accomplished musician, playing piano, saxophone, guitar, and the occasional Irish whistle.

Katie Hauser
Director of Content Development and Project Manager
Katie earned her degree in Literature from the College of the Holy Cross and has been working in the SEO field ever since. Starting out as a measly staff writer, Katie was quickly promoted to team leader then Senior Staff Writer at a leading Internet marketing firm in San Diego. Katie brought her talents east in 2010 and was thrilled to find a spot at McDougall Interactive in 2011. At McDougall Interactive, Katie manages all client projects and content, regularly interacting with clients at every level. In her spare time, Katie enjoys cooking and listening to music.

TJ Kelly
Director of User Experience
TJ is the newest member of the McDougall team. He graduated from UMass Amherst with degrees in Communication and Information Technology. He manages a successful freelance design and user experience business. At McDougall Interactive, TJ manages all design-related projects, including website design, landing page design, and conversion enhancements.
TJ also has programming experience. He spent 4+ years developing and maintaining a high-volume travel website. Today, TJ manages development of PHP and Django-based content management systems and website applications. TJ's specialty at McDougall Interactive is thinking “big picture” and creating user experience that strengthen client branding and connect with the end user.

Christa Terry
Senior Writer
Christa is an author, editor, and blogging consultant whose editorial work has appeared in magazines, newspapers, and on hundreds of websites. Her enormously popular blog, Manolo for the Brides (which receives roughly 20,000 visitors per week) blossomed into iDo: Planning Your Wedding with Nothing But 'Net, a wedding planning guide published by Simon & Schuster. Christa has lent her writing and editing talents to a wide range of well known for-profit clients, including Curt Schilling's 38 Studios, Inc. and Daily Media, Inc., as well as not-for-profit organizations like Graham's Foundation. At McDougall Interactive, Christa is primarily focused on creating content that is optimized... for awesomeness.

Director of Public Relations
Swartz has been in the vanguard of the high technology industry, using high-impact advertising, public relations and direct marketing-online techniques, assisting clients in sales of over $2.5 billion worth of applications packages for mainframe, midrange and personal computers.
He has generated positive, high-impact publicity in the leading US business print, broadcast and online outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Fortune, Forbes, TIME, USA TODAY, WIRED and many metropolitan dailies, radio, TV and online sources.
He is a published author and editor and founding publisher of Manufacturing Technology Quarterly and American Executive magazines.
Swartz is a guest lecturer of the Harvard Extension division of Harvard University and Instructor in Marketing and Public Relations at Northeastern University's College of Professional Studies.
